Mannheim – Mannheim Christmas market opens on November 22 – 2G rules apply

Mannheim Christmas market: Commitment and enthusiasm​ Volunteers put on a varied stage program at the Mannheim Christmas market at the water tower from November 22nd to December 23rd and sell homemade goods for the benefit of social projects​ They sing, make music and dance to make others happy to do: recreational artists such as bands, dance groups, singer-songwriters, but also two children's circuses and classical music ensembles enrich the Mannheim Christmas market with a varied stage program. Other volunteers baked cookies, stirred jams and made all sorts of crafts to donate the proceeds to social projects, which they also want to draw attention to. At the Mannheim Christmas market there are around 160 huts selling Christmas decorations, handicrafts, nice gifts and delicacies. The stage program starts at 6 p.m. The special "Inform and Help" stand is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The 2G rules, registration and mask requirement apply (more on this at www.weihnachtsmarkt-mannheim.de). Monday, November 22nd, 2021From 11 a.m. the huts and rides are open. The official opening ceremony begins at 6 p.m. on the stage. The trombone choir of the Church of the Resurrection in Mannheim, conducted by Sonja Nemet, gets in the mood for Advent with festive Christmas sounds. Pastor Nina Roller from the Thomas parish addressed contemplative words about Advent to the visitors. Afterwards Mayor Michael Grötsch officially opens the 49th Mannheim Christmas Market. Mannheim will present its social start-up Afya. It has set up a production of spirulina algae in Uganda, the products are intended to protect children from malnutrition. Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021 The residents of the Monika home designed candlesticks and Christmas cards in the workshop and occupational therapy, but also crocheted and knitted. Thursday, November 25th, 2021"Merry Christmas!" is what the M3 project calls its Christmas programme.
