This is how you optically lift your face – and appear younger as a result

Renate Zott knows all about lifestyle, fashion and beauty: On her blog, she shows how to dress well, keep fit, take care of yourself, in short: take good care of yourself. The best advertisement for this is herself: It's hard to believe that Renate Zott is over 50! And no wonder she calls herself a "topage model". Because in the absolute top age she is quite obviously!

In 2022, Renate Zott will continue the series "In the best age: Tips from the Ü50 model" for BILD der FRAU, in which she writes about the small and larger issues relating to fashion, beauty and lifestyle - from a woman in her best Age for women in their prime! Today there are two simple make-up tricks that will visually lift the face and give it a tiny fountain of youth...

"In the prime of life: tips from the 50+ model" – make-up trick: optically simply lift your face

When I first look in the mirror in the morning, I probably feel like millions of other people: The enthusiasm is clearly limited. Why? I have age! Not that I wish I had backs instead. But it's a common law of nature to simply write the signs of the times with folds and sagging. In any case, we do not live in a time where one would wish for that and welcome every new wrinkle with joy. On the contrary: Firm and young is en vogue - there are plenty of means and methods to preserve it in some way. So that's where you think about it.

And of course I've caught myself thinking about surgery. There is so much to read and see about it. So far it has not convinced me personally. Too big is the fear that I won't like myself anymore - that the desire to feel better or happier with fewer wrinkles will flop - and possibly tip over into the opposite. In principle, I would have nothing against saving a few optical years, but look differently? No, I don't really want that. After all, it was my life, which doesn't come across as smooth at all. How can it be my face then? I mean, there are so many pros and cons that everyone should decide for themselves in the end. Every way is right - the main thing is that you feel completely comfortable and good with it.

As long as I keep arguing with myself about which way is best for me, I'll stick with the possibilities that classic and decorative cosmetics offer. And you may be amazed, but I think that the emphasis on the eyebrows and cheeks in particular can magically take away a few years.

How to visually lift your face – and This makes you look younger

These two make-up tips make the face appear firmer

Especially with the eyebrows, it is noticeable that the whole face is lifted by condensing them, giving it more expression and intensifying facial expressions. The effect is clear in the photo where I intentionally left out the eye make-up for clarity: nature on one side and densification on the other. The emphasis on the eyebrows is very simple. Since the naturally grown brows already have the ideal shape for the face, they are simply traced with an eyebrow pencil. This can automatically compensate for thinner or missing brows. It is important to work in the natural color of the eyebrows. Don't make the mistake of choosing a darker color, because that quickly becomes too striking or is more reminiscent of a black bar than of the frame for the face that the eyebrows should provide.

Blush is also a small fountain of youth for me. Because a hint of color on the car immediately invigorates the face, makes it shine and optimally accentuates the contours. In short: it makes you youthful and fresh. Applying blush is easy: make a pointed mouth, start applying along the sides of your cheekbones and blend the color from your hairline down your cheeks towards the corners of your mouth. For a perfect result, there are special, slanted blush brushes. But you can also use your fingers without any problems if you don't have a suitable brush at hand or e.g. B. Cream blush used (Blush Stick). A bit of blush above the temples and at the hairline also refreshes the complexion and harmonises the proportions.

These small but very effective beauty tricks provide an immediate visual lift and make you feel good all day long. And after all, that's the main thing.
