3 makeup novelties by dm, Rossmann and Douglas in check

Douglas: Eyelash glue pen from Eylure (approx. 11 euros)

Gluing on false eyelashes can be a real challenge - the eyelash glue is often to blame. Too much product quickly comes out of the tube, the result: the glue does not dry quickly enough, the eyelashes do not stick to the edge of the eyelid. With the eyelash glue stick from Eylure from the make-up innovations from Douglas, this should no longer be a problem. It is actually a kind of felt-tip pen, but instead of color, transparent eyelash glue comes out of the mine. Like an eyeliner, it can be applied in a thin layer and extremely precisely to the edge of the lid. The eyelashes are then glued to it - done! Sticking eyelashes really couldn't be easier. Only eyeliner wearers could have problems with the pen. If the glue is applied over the eyeliner, it can happen that the black color is removed. So it is better from now on only pull the eyeliner after gluing the eyelashes or not paint the line of glue directly on the eye but put it on the fake eyelashes as usual.

Rossmann: "Bioblender" from Ecotools (approx. 7 euros)

Cotton swabs, lots of plastic packaging, questionable ingredients - using make-up is usually not a particularly sustainable undertaking. Fortunately, things are now slowly moving in the right direction with reusable pads and refill packs. In the make-up innovations at Rossmann we have now found the next sustainable must-have: the "Bioblender" from Ecotools, a biodegradable make-up sponge. It looks like the well-known beauty blender and is supposed to work like that, but advertises that you can plant it instead of throwing it away. According to Ecotools, the sponge consists of five natural components, including Bionanopol - Ecotools' secret ingredient, which ultimately makes the sponge biodegradable. Once planted, the sponge is said to be 76 percent decomposed within 180 days. According to "Allure", it takes up to 50 years for normal beauty tools. We think it's definitely worth a try!

Dm: "Glued 4 Brows" eyebrow gel from Got2b (approx. 6 euros)Advertisement The Gold Card incl. 1 free additional American Express card

Got2B actually makes hair products, now there are but also eyebrow gel from the beauty brand. This looks suspiciously like the brand's 'glue spray' hairspray or 'glue' gel, even the name is the same. In fact, both the spray and the hair gel can be used to style the eyebrows – both are extremely strong. Therefore, we have no doubts that the eyebrow gel will work well too. But: While the 300ml bottle of hairspray costs just under 4 euros and the 150ml hair gel tube is also available for 4 euros, you have to shell out a whopping 6 euros for just 16ml of eyebrow gel – quite disproportionate. For us, therefore, a make-up novelty that is not worth it.
