Shoes: Pearls in the shoe closet: Why men are better off looking the other way

You can never have enough beautiful shoes. But what we like quickly gets a thumbs down from men. Men don't really like some shoes at all.

Every year the latest trends come from the catwalk and into the shops. But not everyone is popular. Especially when it comes to shoe trends, many a man wants to run away. Men call the latest shoe fashion too colourful, too glittery, too cheap or simply unsexy. When it comes to men, the perfect women's shoe is quickly found: It should be high heels, the higher the heel, the better the shoe adorns our feet in men's eyes. But dear guys, you have to be strong now: You have no idea about shoes - and that's why you don't recognize what other pearls are waiting in our closets for a trip with us.

Shoes that men hate and we love

Ugg-Boots: The Ugg does not stand for ugly!

Originally, UGG boots come from Australia. They have now spread all over the world. Surely they have already arrived in your closet. And the friend? He complains every time you put them on. "If UGG boots are designed for cold days, why do you wear them in the warm office?" You have to listen to this and many other sentences just because you don't want to have cold feet in winter. But you don't care what your friend says about UGG boots. No other shoe is as comfortable, versatile and warm as the UGG boots. So you just wear it anyway. Cold feet are just much worse than the injured feeling of aesthetics in men.

Crocs - The perfect summer shoe

Get a quick roll from the bakery in the morning or walk around in it all day in summer - these are Crocs. The colorful shoes made of plastic regularly trigger discussions. Women love them, men hate them. Point. There is no in-between, because men simply cannot understand why women wear these shoes. They are infinitely practical, airy and comfortable. You have the feeling that you are walking on clouds and you never want to be without it again. What does your boyfriend say when you combine a mini skirt with Crocs and tights in the fall? No comment! Men's opinion doesn't matter anyway!

Ugly sneakers - setting the scene for breaks in style

Admittedly, the word “ugly” (in German: “ugly”) is included in the ugly sneaker trend. But that's no reason to ignore the trendy shoes. Ugly sneakers come in combination with elegant dresses, cool skirts and chic vintage looks. Men cannot understand this combination. They wonder why you spend money on expensive clothes only to then ruin the look with ugly sneakers. Why do women wear ugly sneakers when they could wear high heels? Many a person has already asked themselves this question and the answer follows immediately: because we can! The challenge is to style the ugly sneakers in such a way that they are unbeatably well integrated into the outfit or stand out strongly. True beauty also lives from the fact that supposedly bad things give the entire look the finishing touch. By the way, they are super comfortable and at the latest after a long day you don't want to be without them.

Why don't men have a sense for nice shoes?

Loafers - all-rounders for beautiful looks

While it's no real surprise, loafers are also at the top of the list of women's most hated shoes. Not a real boot, not a real summer shoe, but highly coveted by women. Hardly any woman doesn't have loafers in her closet. They fit perfectly into business, are super light on the foot on a big shopping tour with your best friend and of course you can wear them on date night too. They are versatile and therefore a real all-rounder. They look just as good with dresses and skirts as they do with jeans and shorts. If you ask men how they find loafers, they despair just by looking at them. Now you shouldn't ask any more, just wear it. The main thing is that you feel comfortable doing it.

High heels with glitter - more is more

Every girl's dream: going to a ball like Cinderella in elegant high heels. When the time comes, there's no holding back. When it comes to big performances, women often wear meter-high shoes and lots of glitter. Especially if the outfit is simple, things can get hot with the shoe. But men just shake their heads at that. Elegant is different, they say. In doing so, they completely forget that they are the ones who keep advising us to wear high heels - if we then put them on, it's not right either. Simple shoes go well with a simple outfit, but when should the exciting ones be worn?! So you'd rather grab the glittering highlight high heels that take your look to the next level than obediently subordinate yourself. Life is too short for boring shoes and as long as you like them, nobody can criticize anything about them.
