On September 16, Hape Kerkeling will personally accept the award for his life's work at the German Television Awards ceremony in Cologne. RTL will broadcast the gala moderated by Barbara Schöneberger (47) on the same evening at 8:15 p.m. The honorary award was first presented in 1999. The award comes at the right moment: the comedian, entertainer and author will soon be making more public appearances and will be celebrating his TV comeback in two VOX formats in late autumn.
