Who bears the costs for the entry tests? If there are no free tests in the destination country, those entering the country must bear the costs themselves.

Are there exceptions for cross-border commuters? Exceptions to the obligation to provide proof are provided for cross-border commuters and cross-border commuters as well as daily commuters. They only need to have proof when entering from a high-risk area, virus variant area or by air. People who do not have proof of vaccination or proof of recovery only need a test proof twice a week.

What requirements does the test have to meet? The test must be written in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish - and presented in paper form or digitally.

How is the obligation to test checked? At airports, passengers already have to present a negative corona test when entering Germany. At train stations and on the roads in the border areas, however, there should only be random checks.;

How are the individual countries classified? In the future there will only be two categories for classifying countries and regions: high-risk and virus variant areas. The category of "simple" risk areas is omitted. Latitude Festival

What are the quarantine rules? When returning from high-risk areas, unvaccinated people must go into a ten-day quarantine, which can be ended on the fifth day at the earliest by submitting a test certificate. Anyone under the age of 12 can end the quarantine after five days without proof of a test.

In the case of virus variant areas, the 14-day non-reducible isolation obligation applies to everyone. The quarantine obligation does not apply to vaccinated and recovered people if the variant area from which they enter is downgraded to a high-incidence or risk area after entry and during the quarantine.
