Half-time at TSV Goßmannsdorf: "There is always potential for improvement!"

February 7, 2022

SCHWEINFURT - It's getting cold outside - and loud inside. At least often in the station, where not only these rock greats are remembered in the coming month and in the days after Halloween. Here is the November program in the wording of the organizers.

THU 02.11., 8:30 p.m., large hall:Concert: The ProsecutionTHE PROSECUTION: for years a guarantee for heated live shows in clubs dripping sweat from the ceiling, as well as rousing festival sets. Take a pinch of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, stir in some Anti-Flag and top it off with a dash of Billy Talent. The political punk rock with wind instruments from Regensburg is ready.

With over 100 shows since 2015, the concert machine has already toured with Against Me, Talco, Anti-Flag and Reel Big Fish back and forth in almost every corner of the republic. They never had to back down in their political commitment. On the contrary: long-term cooperation with organizations such as Pro Asyl and Kein Bock auf Nazis illustrate the importance of the fight for a more tolerant and equal society for THE PROSECUTION.

FRI November 3rd, 8:30 p.m., large hall: Concert: Sick Of It AllTo this day, this band is an integral part of the New York hardcore scene. Of course we're talking about none other than the indestructible band Sick Of It All (SOIA), founded in 1986. Since their inception, they have shaped the international hardcore scene. From the beginning they integrated metal elements into their sound, but you can mainly hear classic New York hardcore, punk rock and even Oi! elements in their music.

SOIA really took off internationally with their albums “Just Look Around” (1992) and “Scratch The Surface” (1994). Large tours of the group around the Koller brothers through Japan, Europe and South America followed. The internationally most successful record of the group appears with "Based On A True Story" in 2010 - it even makes it into the top 50 of the American album charts.

SAT 11.11., 9 p.m., large hall: Concert: AB/CD – a tribute to AC/DCAB/CD celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016 !!! The next 25 years have begun !!!AC/DC, a synonym for heaviness, raw guitar riffs and catchy songs with tremendous energy. Five musicians from the Frankfurt-Aschaffenburg area, all of whom grew up with the songs of AC/DC, decided to form a band to set up that should satisfy even the most die-hard fan. The focus was on the time when the Australian hard rockers were still making fans and critics go wild with legendary singer BON SCOTT. Above all, it was also important to hit exactly that AC/DC SOUND with which the "AUSSIES" became famous at the end of the 70s.

Since 1990, AB/CD have proven that this has been achieved by easily transforming every concert, in halls, live clubs or at open-air festivals, into a party (including with Uriah Heep, Nazareth, White Snake ect ...)

At the end of the 90s >Dimi Deeds< joined AB/CD and embodies Angus Young so perfectly that he has become the focus of the performances for the fans. Since 2003 the band around Andy Kirchner has been breaking new ground and has decided not to spill, but to be big and to engage two singers (Paul McGilley England / London and Massimo Leone Italy / Italy / Rome)

The new concept >Bon Scott meets Brian Johnson< is no longer polarizing, but brings fans of both AC/DC eras together and regularly drives the atmosphere to boiling point with old and new classics such as TNT, Highway To Hell, Hells Bells or Thunderstruck !

Turn The Course (Post Metalcore, Schweinfurt)Kafkaesque (Metal/Crossover/Djent, Nürnberg)Runaway Dead (Metalcore, Augsburg)The Final Impact (Nu-Metal/Hardrock, Passau)Spacewalker (Modern Metalcore/Djent, Schweinfurt)

But beware, be warned: As one of the films said at the beginning of last year: "This is going to be another shitty evening, watch a lot of films for the price of - your precious time" Well then... 😉

SAT November 18, 9 p.m., large hall: Concert: Brothers In Arms - a tribute to Dire Straits40 years of DIRE STRAITS - Greatest Hits live "Sultans of Swing", "Money for Nothing" or "Brothers in Arms" - the songs of the legendary "Dire Straits", like many world hits by the great band around Mark Knopfler, can be heard on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 from 9 p.m. at the Stattbahnhof on the occasion of the 40th founding anniversary of the British cult band.

Countless fans regret that this band in particular has not been seen live since 1995. With "Brothers in Arms" in 2002, however, a handful of selected musicians were found who not only know how to reproduce the hits, but also the spirit and atmosphere of "Dire Straits" live. And that with a fan base that is growing from year to year far beyond the borders of Germany. Dire Straits was formed in London in 1977 by brothers Mark and David Knopfler, along with John Illsley and Pick Withers. The band name means something like "big bankruptcy" and alludes to the financial distress of the members in the early days of their careers. The single releases "Down to the Waterline" and "Sultans of Swing" gave the group the first top ten placements. Further milestones followed. With "Brothers in Arms" the band finally delivered one of the first digitally produced CDs in the world in 1985 and thus heralded the replacement of the vinyl record. With "Money for Nothing" they had also produced the first computer-generated music video and number 1 hit on MTV. The rest is music history with over 120 million LPs sold.

The more than two-hour program of "Brothers in Arms" not only leads the fans through the musical greatest hits history of "Dire Straits". The show, presence and above all the high musical standards of the band have convinced the concertgoers in over 600 live shows so far, which speaks for the professional performance of the group.

THU November 23, 8:30 p.m., small hall:Concert: Ming City RockersThe MING CITY ROCKERS from British Immingham near Grimsby come with a DIY approach and powerfully implemented three-chord formula with classically oriented punk rock'n'roll -Explosions of the highest quality: full of fast tunes, driving monster riffs and evil lyrics. The spirit of MC5, The Stooges and Link Way is always there, every song whips and drives, the singer goes off like Harry and the choruses are ideal for shouting along.

MING CITY ROCKERS' new album 'Lemon' was recorded by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) at his Chicago Electrical Audio Studio and released in 2016 via Mad Monkey Records.

The English press is raving about the band, which was also able to reap massively positive reviews for the second long player. In England, the MING CITY ROCKERS are no longer a blank slate, now they will be on tour in Germany in 2017, to cause a lot of uproar and to get their audience hooked!

FRI 24.11., 11 p.m., small hall: disco: beatclub...techno for adultsThe name says it all...

SAT 25.11., 9 p.m., large hall:Concert: Mad Zeppelin - a tribute to Led ZeppelinWhether for seasoned rock fans with a longing for the good old days or kids who have never been able to experience LED ZEPPELIN live - a MAD ZEPPELIN concert is the perfect one Way back to the golden era of rock music! An enthralling journey into a time when live concerts did not require any tape recordings, guitar solos were allowed to be longer than nowadays whole pop songs and musical power and authentic feeling were even more important than a well-styled image and rehearsed dance steps.

In a show lasting more than two and a half hours, MAD ZEPPELIN impressively demonstrate why their idols are still considered to be the greatest live band in rock history: their tour-de-force ride through all ZEP classics leaves out nothing that made the giants of the 70s so special power - earthy blues roots, lyrical folk passages, mystical mini-epics and of course rock, rock and rock again and again.

In addition to an extremely high musical level, the band also shows loving attention to detail: Of course, the Moby Dick drum solo is played on the original Ludwig Vistalite acrylic drum set, "Stairway To Heaven" is intoned on the legendary double-neck guitar and, as in the Concert film "The Song Remains The Same" unpacked the violin bow. MAD ZEPPELIN has been touring nationwide since the summer of 2000 and has earned a reputation as one of the best LED ZEPPELIN tribute acts in Europe.

TUE 28.11., 8 p.m., large hall: Concert: Nasty, Lionheart, Get The ShotIn hardcore there are at least as many sub-genres as there are moons in the solar system. "Beatdown" and "Mosh" have been quite present for a few years. It can also be a little rougher sometimes.

The German-Belgian wrecking balls from Nasty are also quite good at aggressive-fast hardcore with extensive mosh parts, but thanks to a sympathetic degree of social criticism, they clearly stand out from the brutal soundtrack to the next bar brawl - and thus a majority of the scene. An exception to this are of course Get The Shot, whose hardcore/punk is not least evident in their own enthusiasm for trash, for Slayer and anthrax. The real sensation of tonight, however, is to be able to welcome back the Californian hardcore outfit Lionheart in the game - they had disbanded a good year ago. One of the best young metal/hardcore bands around, the band around vocalist Rob Watson had simply found that touring was lacking. On a joint tour and in association with Nasty, escalation is inevitable!
