Are you also so excited for Horizon Forbidden West? We are currently reinstalling the first part to refresh all memories before the release of the sequel. If you want to do the same, we have a few tips for you today. Here are five things you should definitely do before heading into the Forbidden West with Aloy on February 18th.

Do sightseeing!

Sure, the story of Horizon Zero Dawn is fantastic. And the opponents first! Nevertheless, we recommend that you hike far off the beaten track and simply enjoy the world around you. We can actually feel the winds on the cliffs as we gaze into the distance.

In Horizon Zero Dawn, pretty much every corner is a work of art. Discover lush meadows and forests, picturesque lighting moods high up in the mountains and the icy glittering flora of the highlands. A practical side effect of your exploration tours: At the viewpoints you will learn more about the Old World and thus delve even deeper into history.

Small quests, big ones!

If you're exploring the world anyway, combine your journey directly with completing a few side quests! They go beyond the mere fulfillment of small fetching or hunting tasks and spin their own stories. Sometimes you play detective and other times you stumble straight into a romantic drama that will sweep you away.

In addition to the usual rewards, you can also win allies in certain side missions. Practical!

Time for a new armor!

We all love Aloy's iconic outfit from the beginning of the game. Over time, she gets more and more cool looks that aren't just a fashion statement: The different armors help Aloy fight different types of opponents.

The shield weaver armor is particularly memorable. She looks super stylish and even gives Aloy the power of invulnerability for a short time. This can be a savior in an emergency, especially with the really tough machine opponents towards the end of the game. You'll have to scour every corner of the world for Power Cells to get them, but the work will be worth your while.

Aim, shot and win!

There is so much to experience in Horizon Zero Dawn! In addition to the extensive main story and the many side quests, the world itself also has some surprises in store for you. In some places you can complete small activities and complete additional missions.

So you're bound to stumble into the hunting tests of the tribes, in which your skill with the bow is required. In addition to the coveted trophies for completing such missions, you will receive better equipment for your next tasks. The particularly strong versions of various bows can only be obtained through these special tests.
